Invented in Australia Logo
The Concept

Australian made products are easily identifiable but there is nothing to identify Australian Inventions in the open market. The Australian Invention Program and logo were created by J. A. Gomez and donated to the Inventors Association of Australia (Queensland) Inc for the establishment of a national program to popularise the logo as a distinctive marketing tool for the benefit of Australian inventors.

The logo is a registered trademark which is offered to Australian inventors for use on their products, promotional literature and letterheads as a marketing tool for an annual fee as set out in the Fees.

The logo is promoted by the Australian Invention Foundation Limited, a not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee, registered in Queensland and owned by the Inventors Association of Australia (Federal) Inc. Members and beneficiaries of the company are the Inventors Associations in all states and territories. Being a not-for-profit company the profits cannot by law be distributed to any individual association member or its members.

Management protocols are set out in the Company Constitution, and the use of the logo is controlled through Participants Agreement follow specified in the Code of Practice. Users of the Logo have to follow the procedures set out in the Code of Ethics. All the above to be summarised in the Memorandum of Understanding.
